INDONESIA VISA TRAVEL Formalities

It is important to note that the Government of Indonesia has issued a new regulation concerning the Visa On Arrival policy. This most recent regulation applied by the Indonesian Government came into effect on 1st February 2006 for foreigners visiting Indonesia. All travelers to Indonesia must be in possession of passport valid for at least six months from date of arrival

Details of this new regulation are explained as follows:

1. A Free Visa for Short Visits (less than 30 days) is applicable to 11 countries. These countries include

  • Thailand
  • Malaysia
  • Singapore
  • Brunei Darussalam
  • Philippines
  • Hong Kong Special Administration Region
  • Macao Special Administration
  • Region
  • Morocco
  • Peru
  • Chili
  • Vietnam

2. Visa On Arrival is applicable to 52 nationalities. Foreigners from these countries are eligible to obtain this visa soon as they arrive in Indonesia. These countries include

3. Visa on Arrival will be issued at the Immigration Check-Point at the following Ports:

  • Halim Perdana Kusuma 2. in Jakarta;
  • Adi Sucipto in Yogyakarta;
  • Adi Sumarno in Surakarta;
  • Juanda in Surabaya;
  • Ngurah Rai in Bali;
  • Selaparang in Mataram;
  • El Tari in Kupang;
  • Sepinggan in Balikpapan;
  • Hassanuddin in Makassar;
  • Sam Ratulangi in Manado

  • Sekupang, Batu Ampar, Nongsa, Marina Teluk Senimba, and Batam Center in Batam;

4.Visitors from those countries not mentioned above are kindly requested to obtain a visa in their respective country through their nearest Indonesian Embassy.

5. Visa Fee :

  • Visit up to 7 (seven) days : US$ 15.00
  • Visit up to 30 (thirty) days : US$ 30.00

Please note: the departure tax for
international departures destinations at IDR : 150.000 / per person
domestic departures the fee is levied at IDR : 30.000 / per person
